Physiotherapy and how it works
Physiotherapy uses a range of techniques: manual therapies including massage and joint mobilisations; electrotherapy modalities; exercise prescription and management advice, to help reduce pain and increase range of movement. Its chief role is often thought of as rehabilitation: the restoration of function following an injury, illness or surgery. However I strongly believe in preventative 'prehabilitation' to help animals, working horses in particular, to cope with the demands we place upon them and to keep them happy and comfortable in their work.
